The traditional Hévíz therapy has become a world-famous trademark and the NaturMed Hotel Carbona has always been committed to the classic Hévíz treatment. The roots of this traditional spa treatment go back to 1795, the time of Count Georg Festetics. The traditional Hévíz therapy is unique, as the special thermal water and healing mud of the world-famous thermal lake can only be found here. The traditional healing therapy of Hévíz is used very successfully especially for rheumatic problems. The most important components of a two- to three-week treatment plan, which should include at least 15 treatments, apart from medicinal water, are mud packs and a weight bath (invented by Hévíz rheumatologist Dr Károly Moll) as well as massages, movement therapies and both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. This is complemented by drinking cures from the healing well. The Hévíz treatments do not only bring short-term improvements, but also relieve the pain for months. All treatments are carried out by highly qualified personnel under medical supervision. Within the framework of the medical consultation, an individual treatment programme is put together from the following treatments, according to an examination and other resulting findings.
