This treatment is used for local treatment of chronic pulmonary diseases. In most cases, inhalation of aerosols (medicinal salt-water, medicine) is anti-inflammatory, expectorant and in some cases relaxing.

The goal of the therapy is to increase the oxygen supply in tissues which have a reduced supply by calmly inhaling oxygen. In normal cases, the air has a 20% oxygen content, whilst the therapy focuses on guests inhaling air with 30-40% of oxygen.
